Take your painting skills to the next level in this 2-day oil painting plein air workshop in captivating Old Town Alexandria, VA. I have been teaching students of all ages and levels for the past 20 years and will inspire, encourage and challenge you to expand your artistic horizons. Join me in discovering and sharing new techniques and my painting secrets while enjoying the painting process. All levels are welcomed, ages 13 to adults.

This workshop will focus on capturing the essence of The Old Town with oils or acrylics and discovering its hidden treasures.

Concepts of composition, tonal value, edges, focal point as well as properties of colors and fundamentals of design will be covered. I will start each day with a 30 minute demo.

I limit the workshop to 6 students because I thrive to give everyone individual attention.
