My first painting was an ocean floor. Considering that I have never seen an ocean in my young life, I did quite well. I used big brushes and lots of bright colors and, of course, my imagination. Gouache was the first medium that I fell in love with. Then water colors came and later oils. That ocean floor painting was hung in my family's living room and occupied most of the wall space in that small room with alizarin crimson wall paper. That's how my life as an artist began...

Now days my paintings are very emmotional. I am inspired at times by someone I just met, or someone I've known for years, but see them in a different light. Work has become more figurative, brighter with bolder strokes. I am also fascinated by the noise of big cities such as New York, Paris, Boston... I try to create the mood and capture the essence of the city rather than a spesific place. I love the wet pavement and reflections of the light in it. The noise and the movement of the taxi cabs...

Additionally, I am a graphic designer. I have worked as an art director at a book publishing in Manhattan for several years. I have collaborated with designers, illustrators, printers and authors. My expertise include print collateral, magazine, book & book covers, interior design & production of books. I have worked at ad agencies, magazine & book publishings as well as for private clients.

The work is for sale.
